John is a lawyer and a renowed international speaker in the TED and the Toastmasters worlds. His passion can be seen in his blog "Manner of Speaking", and as co-author of "Der TED-Effekt". He teaches Executive MBA programmes and gives training to major international corporate clients.

John aims “to bring more improv to Toastmasters in Switzerland” by sharing his passions and skills. The program is 09:15 Registration, networking and coffee, 10:00 Workshop (including half time break), 12:20 Lunch (optional - not included in ticket price). A mix of local & international comedians, this month the hilarious Swedish comic Zac Karias. He doesn’t get why anything is the way it is, life is an absurd farce, there is nothing to cling on to, so the only thing to do is laugh and try not to lose your sanity. He's a bit darker then you’d expect from a guy in a bright shirt who smiles so much. See

English cafe was great with 8 people and music. Not enough interested for Basel museums, but the EESCB Games Evening and the Blues music were great.

Sunday badminton, Monday Toastmasters, Wednesday book club, Thursday ladies' lunch

Thursday theater - attend "Oliver Twist".

Friday - anyone interested in Tennis? We have a new WhatsApp group for weekend tennis. Ask Graham if you wish to join it. Also ask him about dancing on Friday and / or Saturday.

Next Sunday - walk and talk, and visit the Art Museum for a tour. Then badminton
